This course explores the theological, historical and contemporary models of prophetic proclamation in light of the biblio-historical patterns of the prophetic and the contemporary challenge of the study of signs, symbols and semantics of our timeless loving God. Students will explore and learn to express “the Lord hath said,” “thus saith the Lord” and how to say it.
In this class, the student will investigate the place, practice, and principles of counterculture proclamation in the tension of textual fidelity and shifting social ideologies. Students will learn to balance the call and anointing on their lives and when and how to respond to contemporary challenges to biblical truth.
This course equips the student to sermonically lead the congregation from one corporate season into the next. Students will learn how to prepare, navigate, and preach through the seasons of divinely designed destiny. How to preach through name changes, leadership succession, ecclesiastical affiliation transitions, and major theological shifts, revising and redefining progress and success.
This course offers rubrics sequencing what God has said, what God has revealed and how to sermonize what you see. The student will review homiletic devises on preaching where God is leading the people: how to lead the people under the cloud of guidance; God’s divine destiny, the challenges, attacks and battles to be expected and overcome. Fundamental principal: you don’t do it until you teach it.
